[From The Record Store] Brothers by The Black Keys.

I can say without a doubt that this is an album that changed my perspective of music. Like any other fan of The Black Keys, I downloaded and listened to the whole thing within the first hour, and gladly added it to my collection of other Indie music. There it sat, waiting, probably knowing the impact it would have later, and enjoyed my sweeps when I grazed over it to hear my favorite tracks. It didn't loudly force its way into my top fifteen artists like Spoon had, it quietly nudged; it slowly made its way there (through a system I had created, I discovered The Black Keys were the second most listened to band on my iPod). Spoon had made number one because I was told they were the best; The Black Keys made number two because I liked their music on my own. I don't want to bog this post in the personal issues attached to it all, I just want to let The Black Keys know they rock.
