[From The Dressing Room]
[From The Smart]
I'm writing a book.

There are plenty of other personal things I could talk about, but I refuse to. Instead, I want to talk about my new book (I realize this sounds like a TV spot or something). Mount Edison and the Ocean Below, my latest literary venture, is a collection of short stories and the like written by myself. It includes some of my older stuff, like Cloudy-Eyed Corruption, and some of my newer stuff, like The Black Family Estate. Anyways, I'll keep you all in the know about updates.

That is all.

[From The Smart]

(listening to "Cold Flame" by Band of Skulls)

Life is funny at times. It's mostly painful, always short, and rarely easy. I think people are in search of the times when life is less painful, seemingly endless, and relatively carefree, more than anything. The only question is, what makes life this way? Is it the person you love, or the people to spend your time with? Is it the hours you spend behind a desk taking calls, or the at-home business raking in a hefty amount every month? Is it that brand new gadget you just received in the mail from your dad, or the old photo of you and your mother that summer in Italy you just found in you desk drawer?

In the end, I think life is a search. The only question I have is, will we find what we're looking for in life, or in death?

That is all.
